VBS 2024 Volunteer Leaders

July 21-25, 4:45 - 7:15pm | Welcome to Capitol Hill United Methodist Church's 2024 Vacation Bible School (VBS) Volunteer Leader Form!

Our VBS theme this year is "Just Like Me." Kids will celebrate their identity as God's beloved creations just as they are! Through lessons and activities, students will practice sharing, asking questions using their voice, finding community, and speaking up for others.

Our volunteers are the frontline ministers who lead our kids to discover God's love and the special gifts each child has received! Thank you for giving your time and energy to serve our kids and helping them know they are each wonderful and beloved in the eyes of God and our community.

**SAFE SANCTUARY REQUIREMENTS**
To volunteer for VBS, you must have attended Capitol Hill UMC (CHUMC) and be known by CHUMC leadership for at least 6 months before serving as a volunteer. You must also have a background check and reference check on file and go through Safe Sanctuary Training. To serve in CHUMC's Children's Ministry and be in ministry directly with our kids, you will need to become Safe Sanctuary Certified. To be Safe Sanctuary Certified, you must:


  • Have attended CHUMC and be known by CHUMC leadership for at least 6 months

  • Complete a background and reference check

  • Complete a Sexual Misconduct Questionnaire
